After 17 episodes and 17 different conversations, we have officially implemented cameras into the podcast recording process.
I have always wanted to establish a channel that presented all the conversations I'm having in video format. Some benefits of video include:
- Enhances the viewer experience because you get to SEE the conversation and the nonverbal aspects.
- Allows for shorter clips to be made into shorts and shared on social media or longer clips to be shared on YouTube.
- Gives me more opportunity to take graphics from the video to use in cover art.
- Improves the ability to relay information because now we could use visual graphics rather than audio tracks.
When I first got the cameras, it took me a while to start using them. I was nervous that I wouldn't get it right or that they would add an unwelcome vibe to the conversation. Thankfully, I tried it out and now I've grown more comfortable with the set-up and workflow.
